Carl KRAFFT & Söhne was founded in 1870 by Carl Krafft together with Heinrich Depiereux. They initially ran an iron foundry with a steam boiler and the company was called Krafft & Depiereux.

Today KRAFFT is a family owed company in Düren, Germany, employing about 130 people who work in two facilities. Know-How acquired by building paper machinery was consequently transferred since the 1980s to design and production of rollers and similar products.

KRAFFT produces axisymmetric components up to a diameter of 5.500 mm and a length of 15.000 mm. The enterprise is one of the leading manufacturers for rollers and axisymmetric components in Europe.

Paper industry is still a core market for KRAFFT, whereby the manufacturing capabilities are support by the KRAFFT service team as additional product segment. Our team of competence is supporting you by projecting, realization, installation service on-site, repair, overhaul and retro fitment of existing pulp and paper machinery

In past years the product portfolio was re-structured and the production equipment was aligned to the requested capacities. The facilities at the headquarter were renovated and a second production facilities was installed. In 1999 KRAFFT acquired KELZENBERG + CO. and has in the meantime integrated the products into its own product portfolio.
